Keoki's Paradise - Kauai, Hawaii
If you are staying on the island of Kauai near Poipu then you will be happy to find Keoki's Paradise is in your vicinity. Quite lovely, very Hawaiian, it has waterfalls and an island decor, and the food is good too.
We stopped after a trip to the Kauai Coffee Company and were starving. We got there before the dinner crowd and were still able to take advantage of lunch prices. We sat in the cafe area near the bar where you can look out over the lush landscaping and pond.
My girlfriend ordered the fish tacos with black beans which turned out very hearty and delicious and relatively inexpensive at $9.95. I had fish and chips, thick slabs of fish with tartar sauce and potatoe planks for $10.95. The lunch version of the ribs and chicken was also good and the huge beef burger was rated very highly by one of our companions. The service was good and our waitress was very friendly and responsive.
Looking at the menu we learned that Keiko's Paradise is a sibling to Duke's Waikiki and both are under the TS Restaurarant chain's umbrella. Had we known about Keiko's Paradise before visiting Tom Kat's Diner I think we would've skipped Tom's. The atmosphere, taste and value, especially at lunchtime prices, of Keiko's is better.
