Between Jerome and Sedona lies the city of Cottonwood, a city of 10,000. We were going to be visiting both Jerome and Sedona and wanted to stay somewhere relatively close to both.

We were staying at the Grand Hotel in Jerome, Arizona and learned about their Ghost Hunt package for an additonal $20 per person.

Located on the first floor of the Grand Hotel in Jerome, Arizona, The Asylum is very cozy and bills itself as "dining on the fringe" and it really is the fringe when you consider it is located in a hotel with ghosts that sits on a hilltop overlooking the old mining town of Jerome.

Drove into the old mining town of Jerome on a late December afternoon ahead of a winter storm. We could see our hotel high up on the hill above the town, a welcome sight and a place to come in out of the cold.
